Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
“Grace and peace to you. We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers. We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.”(1 Thes 1: 1-3)

The construction of the Discipleship Training Center on the Prek Ambel church property is coming along very well. The foundation has just been set and finished, and the next step will be to put up the corner columns and walls of the first floor. We are building as God provides the funding and ask that you be in prayer as we proceed with construction.
|
We will shortly begin the process of accepting new Discipleship Students and have decided to have both full– time & part-time students based on spiritual maturity & readiness for ministry.
|
Along with their Biblical & Pastoral studies, the current students just finished helping work on the Discipleship Training Center’s foundation. Once the rice harvesting season is over, the Discipleship Students, Lord willing, will begin taking part in evangelizing and witnessing in the community on a weekly basis. The whole church body will take part in witnessing once a month.
The church in Prek Ambel is strong in the Lord, with about 120 members. We are happy to inform you that the Sre Treng church is also doing well, with about 40 members. Pastor Hal Brunson of FBC Parker came to Cambodia in July 2005 to participate in the ordination service for Nyen, who is now the pastor of the Sre Treng church.
The Lord has opened the opportunity for two new works and we praise God for providing willing and able men. Ty Nuon (my brother) and his family will be moving to Bavel, which is in North West Cambodia. It is about a seven to eight hour drive from Prek Ambel. Ty was in the Discipleship class last year and has recently recovered from malaria.
There is also a new group of believers in another village near Sre Treng that Nyen has begun to meet with. We would also like to plant another church closer to Prek Ambel but at this moment our Lord has not granted us the wisdom yet on where to plant or who would lead, please be in prayer that the Lord will make this possible.

In the future we hope to begin holding a church conference twice a year, where all the churches join fellowship together to learn and worship. It is our hope that God would provide Christian brothers to come speak during these conferences and teach the Word of God.
Thank you for your prayers & gifts for Cambodia. Grace be with you in love in our Lord Jesus Christ,
Chheng Nuon
